Ginger's money saving tips or beauty and life on a shoe string budget.

When you have very little money to begin with it is always worth knowing how much you have and when you will have it.  This is known globally as, "budgeting".
However, for the purposes of glamour we shall call it "fiscal organisation".
Pour yourself a cup of tea, we will be here a while.

Actually it's much easier than people would have you believe! There are a number of small steps involved.
1. Identify what you need to spend and when it needs to be paid. Rent, food and bills should all come first.
2. The presentation of yourself and family come next. Make sure you have enough soap, toothpaste and clothes without holes in.
3. Entertainment! Once you have sorted the necessary payments, remember to budget for entertainments.
4. Savings. 10% at least of everything you earn from now on should go into a savings account. This is your rainy day/ deposit fund.
5. Always having something spare In the current account for coffee and lunch and fuel if you drive.

This has been a Ginger Wilde kick start to frugal living. Be sure to follow me through the week as I will be covering each of the steps mentioned above and giving you some fantastic money saving tips.

As always, I love you all dearly xxx

Frugality or Ginger makes do!

Today I am a new Ginger! This happens once every quarter when I resolve to clear out and make my bank balance a little larger.
Basically, Ginger got plans to be an enhanced version of herself! And I also resolve to stop talking about myself in the third person.
So on to Sunday's lessons in frugality. Do I need it? Will I use it all or wear it more than once?
I resolve to ask myself these questions at every purchase, especially body creams!
If the answer is I'm only buying it cos I saw it in a magazine or on t.v then I will not buy it.
Scoffing at my own weak will here!
Wish me a lot of luck peoples. Hang around for this evenings post won't you?

All my love,

Ginger xxx

Gingers addiction to Lush or, bath blogging!

Yep I am blogging from my gold and bubbly bath! I love it. God bless hand held techy stuff, eh?
It's been such a long time since my last blog, I barely know where to start.

Well the easiest place to start is Birthdays! I have several friends whose birthdays fall in March which in my opinion makes the entire month better than Christmas season! There have been parties and fabulous cakes.  There have been epic board games and even more epic dancing and singing. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and an extended family of friends! Long may it continue!

Of course what happens when Ginger parties too hard and works hard too? She gets a bit lethargic, a bit apathetic and just a tad ill. Nothing serious but a few headaches and a lingering cold which have caused a few more frown lines.

So, after a few weeks of no shoots and no modelling at all, Ginger really wants to come out to play.

Before I reveal my April/ May plans why don't you take a look back through March's shenanigans ?

Ginger's first photo shoot of Thursday last. Or, how when a team of creative people get together you can create a landgirl v rockabilly look!

The day before this shoot was lovely and sunny! Really bright and that's what we were hoping for on the day! NOPE! It was foggy and moody and the light wasn't the best. This meant that we had to do a quick change of concept.

The pictures that follow do contain images of Ginger holding a cigarette. This is not done in the style of say, Lady Gaga who does things to shock people but instead to emulate an era in history. To create art. As it happens I have received constructive feedback that perhaps the cigarette doesn't do anything to the image. I have taken this on board and I have to say I agree that it does not need to be done again.

Ginger Wilde does not endorse smoking! It is not cool!

Please enjoy the images as they were meant to be enjoyed though.

Many Thanks to Andy Gardiner and Katie Finch of Much Love Photography, Darwen. Without whom I could not have started this incredible journey! Long may it continue.

As Always,

Photo shoot 2 of Thursday last week. Or, Ginger turns professional (ish)

To be fair it's not very professional to piss lark about getting dressed up in clothes I want to buy myself but no one seemed to mind. Least of all Emma Brown, the proprietor of My Vintage, Darwen. Did you know she will ship anywhere.

For this shoot I modelled a retro line of clothing. Vintage clothing is original clothing that may be as new or previously loved. Retro clothing is made to look like it was from a certain era. I love both however, you are more likely to be able to find retro clothing in your size.

Don't give up though, I have some beautiful, true vintage gems. For now though please feast your eyes on these beautiful lovelies, all of which are available now from My Vintage.

So you should all follow the link below and browse. Give Emma a call or if you Love Lucy, give her a call too!
