Adventures in the art of striptease!!!

Hi Guys and Dolls!

August has gone so fast and I find it really funny that there is still some month left at the end of my money.

So, what have I been doing? Well about the third week of July, my good friend Emma Brown at My Vintage, Darwen asked me if I would like to do a burlesque skit for her shop's 2nd birthday bash!

Erm....ya!

So let's get this straight. I have not previously offered my services as a burlesque performer but Emma knows 3 things about me.

1. I own a lot of cool, burlesque-y clothes (Emma knows this cos she is my enabler)
2. I like to be naughty
3. I like an audience for said naughtiness or it's just no fun!

So, then it came about. I put a costume together, I found a track, I made a quick routine and then I let the whole of Facebook know that I was going to do burlesque. In public. Not just a 5 minute desk fantasy whilst I try to sell houses and put some sass in my customer relations.

The night soon came around. And people had obviously paid attention to facebook for once because the shop was packed! The event was hugely successful anyway but Emma said a few people were coming just for little old me....GULP!

Pre-Show Nerves and Slight Sicky feeling.

But then, even though I couldn't hear my track reet well this is what happened next:

Et Voila!!! Instant burlesque sensation! Hehehehehe. New burlesque gig coming up in November for charity. Make sure you watch this space!!!

My special Thanks go to Emma Brown, Lucy San Ingham, Katie Bettie, Mick Davies, Lucy Payne, Emily Charlotte Martin, and the makers of Hei Poa body oil for the hilarious costume malfunction pre show.
