Ginger's first photo shoot of Thursday last. Or, how when a team of creative people get together you can create a landgirl v rockabilly look!

The day before this shoot was lovely and sunny! Really bright and that's what we were hoping for on the day! NOPE! It was foggy and moody and the light wasn't the best. This meant that we had to do a quick change of concept.

The pictures that follow do contain images of Ginger holding a cigarette. This is not done in the style of say, Lady Gaga who does things to shock people but instead to emulate an era in history. To create art. As it happens I have received constructive feedback that perhaps the cigarette doesn't do anything to the image. I have taken this on board and I have to say I agree that it does not need to be done again.

Ginger Wilde does not endorse smoking! It is not cool!

Photo shoot 2 of Thursday last week. Or, Ginger turns professional (ish)

To be fair it's not very professional to piss lark about getting dressed up in clothes I want to buy myself but no one seemed to mind. Least of all Emma Brown, the proprietor of My Vintage, Darwen. Did you know she will ship anywhere.

For this shoot I modelled a retro line of clothing. Vintage clothing is original clothing that may be as new or previously loved. Retro clothing is made to look like it was from a certain era. I love both however, you are more likely to be able to find retro clothing in your size.

Don't give up though, I have some beautiful, true vintage gems. For now though please feast your eyes on these beautiful lovelies, all of which are available now from My Vintage.

Ginger, your local, friendly SOBER party animal! Or, How I still get hangovers even though I don't drink!

I know!!! Completely unfair, right?

This week gone by, has been brilliant and crazy and mad! I have been really busy with my fab new job (when does it stop being new?), the pin-up shoots and the modelling for my good friend Emma at My Vintage.

As well as partying on Friday night for Emma's birthday do!

I will post separate albums which will include a separate camera roll of all the selfies I have been taking! Ginger has absolutely fallen in love with Instagram and through this fabulous social medium, I shall finally be able to provide you with the vintage hair and make up tutorials you have all been asking for. I haven't forgotten about creating a youtube channel just for Ginger but it will have to take time to get completely right for y'all.

I also have plans for Inner Pin-Up Day which as you all remember is June 21st this year! All are welcome to participate, all you have to do is wear something orange and be kind. Not a hard task at all really. The aim is to spread awareness of the day so, please share the facebook event with your friends and get them to share it with theirs. Then on the day itself its about being kind to yourself and to others. I am thinking about raising money for a charity that connects closely with this idea. Suggestions would be welcome as it really means something to me that this should be meaningful to the world.
 A way of changing our perception of the hard slog of everyday life. In short I would like to make the world beautiful for everyone else. After all self esteem is such a basic necessity. Confidence is beautiful and when you feel confident and beautiful the rest of the world is beautiful too.

Food Seduction or My Mahoosive Girl Crush on Gizzi Erskine

Gizzi Erskine is my foodie girl crush of the moment! Not only is she an amazing chef, and food writer as well as having her own T.V show once upon a time, she is also an amazingly stylish person! With a very vintage mod/psychobilly look, she is a rockstar of the kitchen world.

So, today when I couldn't find any biscuits and with my sister, niece and nephew due to arrive imminently. There was only one book I even wanted to look at!

Gizzi's Kitchen Magic!

And this is what I made!

All butter, vanilla biscuits. Without wanting to plagiarise, I will briefly describe the recipe ingredients and method used. But I will copy a link from Amazon.co.uk in order for you to purchase and recreate the yummy goodies.

Ingredients included; golden caster sugar, butter, an egg yolk. Which I put in to a blender.

Like this...then I whizzed them up like this...

then I added plain flour and whizzed that  until it looked like this...

I rolled it into lots of balls and put them I the fridge...

I put them on the tray and squished them with the palm of m hand...

Put them in the oven like this,

Watched Aurelia read her book and took ANOTHER selfie!

then there was biscuit goodness!!

Why Ginger Disappeared or why you should look after yourself.

So, after several promises to you on the blogs I was going to write and post, nothing actually happened.

Ginger got tired. Leading the life of two people and being any good at either is difficult to say the least!
Those of you that follow my Facebook page will know that I haven't slipped off the face of the earth yet, I just took a back seat.

As with all things, balance is key. Balance is something that neither Ginger nor her alter ego have ever been good at. We are both" All or Nothing" Women. In most aspects of life actually, which usually causes a bit of friction somewhere.

So, for the sake of my sanity because, I actually HEART this blog please accept my apologies and the next few posts to cheer you up before Monday gets here!
